Following the violent motor vehicle collision, 50-year-old male was transported to the hospital by ambulance with right shoulder pain, rib pain, neck pain, and chest pain.
He was seen by a neurosurgeon for his ongoing neck pain. The first surgery to his cervical spine consisted of anterior cervical discectomy at C5-C6 and C6-C7 with anterior cervical plating from C5 through C7. Roughly a year later, he had another surgery to his cervical spine which consisted of the removal of instrumentation hardware at C5 through C7, discectomy at C7-T1 with instrumentation and interbody device placement. He was informed that he would require an additional cervical surgery at the C4-C8 level as a direct result of the motor vehicle collision. Mr. Freedman successfully proved his client's claim and as a result, the client received a $500,000 settlement.
