A 9-year-old girl was walking home from her uncle’s house when a dog attacked her.
The attack caused bruising to her hip. The bite left puncture wounds on her torso and left leg. The dog, prior to biting the young girl, had attacked another victim at a separate location. The open puncture wounds required sutures and staples to close. After the puncture wounds healed, her left leg had significant scarring. In order to correct these scars, the young girl would have to undergo multiple scar revision surgeries.
